Out of all the shabu shabu places I have visited this by far is my favorite one. Not only are the gas customers kind and nice. The staff is great. The selection is great and the food quality is awesome. This is the only place I'll be going from now on lunch prices are by far the most reasonable.

The only way to go about it is by getting the all-you-can-eat. In my personal opinion, it is worth paying the $35!! I bring my friends, my family. I tell everyone about this place. It's so freaking delicious :) Every person that I had brought to this restaurant said the same thing: it's fantastic, and it's so worth paying $35 for such an excellent price to eat all the different types of meats along with the unlimited appetizers! It has a great atmosphere, a place to socialize while eating, with the service being on point. The servers are always on their game, ready to serve you. If you go on the weekends around six to close, it can get pretty busy. Sometimes, the wait can be about 15 to maybe 30 minutes long but no longer than 30 minutes. During the week, there is no wait, but sometimes it can be 10 minutes if that. If you are trying something new, this is the place to come or become a regular like me! I fell in love with Shabu 10 years ago and have been coming here ever since then:)

House of Shabu Shabu is one of the best places to get shabu shabu at a decent price. I truly appreciate the level of service and quality I get at this place and I can understand why they are always packed to the brim on busy Friday nights and weekends. The food is good and the servers move quickly and precisely without being short or mean. I love the smell of boiling hot soup and meat filled with your choice of veggies coming from each seat. This is truly the kind of place you come back to multiple times because the experience is just that good. Thank you for your hard work!

my FAVORITE place since 2003!!!! no matter where i go, i jus don't find anywhere else that i like better than this place. i guess also bc it feels like home and largely bc of the owner Harry! Harry supported our student association in college by being one of our sponsors too and his generosity meant a lot to us poor college students at the time. Harry is always so friendly and always recognizes me every time. now that i moved away from Irvine, I still try to go whenever possible and whenever I am in Irvine. I hope this place stays open for a looooong loooong time to come.

Typically has a long wait, but we came at 9pm on a Monday night, and we were seated right away! Last call is at 10pm. I can't believe I haven't tried this place earlier! Satisfies all my shabu and sushi cravings! They bring everything out so quickly! The servers are carrying 10+ plates at a time to serve everyone lol! The tteokbokki and gyozas are yummy as well!

Love that this is an AYCE hot pot and sushi place at a really good price. I got kimchi red broth and it was perfectly spicy and flavorful; even at the end it didn't get salty. My husband got the spicy garlic broth which was good but really salty at the end. They also have spicy drops for your sauce (and I think bowl too, because they won't add it to the broth) if you ask. For dessert, they offered 2 different kinds of chocolate ice cream (why not completely different flavor options but.... It is what it is). Overall, good service and large (free) parking area. I've come here several times already and will continue to do so!

Although this isn't the best shabu place in terms of quality, I'd never turn down an opportunity to come eat here. My love for shabu all started at this place five years ago. Ever since I tried sukiyaki, it's been my go-to broth and I get it here and at every other shabu place I eat at and if they don't have it then you won't see me there hahaha Thank you house of shabu shabu irvine for the yummy meals and good memories I'll always be a fan!

Food - only tried their set A AYCE and it is definitely worth the price, i did wish it had some less fatty beef options, but cant really complain for the value Service - service is quite slow, even when the restaurant isnt packed, it takes a while for the food to come out, we had to wait white a while for our plates of meats and sides to get to our table Ambience - has bar seating options and table options, not sure if they can accommodate very large parties, but it's probably possible by combining tables (if thats an option Food does make the wait time worth it. Definitely see myself being a regular here.

Get here early because there will definitely be a wait because the place is small. But once you sit in that chair everything comes by so quick. Servers were attentive and quick to get you items from the AYCE menu. For the broth, spicy sukiyaki was really bomb but it was my first time of course. You have your choices of shabu items and some basic sushi rolls (ie crunchy roll, california roll, etc) . Be weary that if you will be charged if there's some food items that are left unfinished. The plus is that you also get a scoop of ice cream at the end.

If you like a flavorful broth, get the Sukiyaki/Spicy Sukiyaki. Speaking of spice, remember to ask for hot drops if you're into that! There are 3 different menu prices: - Special 1 ($22pp) - Special 2 ($25pp) - Special 3 ($35pp) I always go with Special 1 and eat my money's worth. Even though the appetizers are tempting, it fills me up so quickly that I can't eat too much meat. After a few times, I learned to resist the appetizers and just repeat order Beef Belly, Pork Belly, and veggies. Meat is great quality and very tender. If you don't like House of Shabu Shabu, I would recommend trying it again with a different broth. First time I went, I got the Miso broth and it was very bland. Now, I get the Spicy Sukiyaki each time and it makes my Shabu experience 10x better and tastier :) Reason for my 4-star rating is because the service is a hit or miss. Sometimes the service is very attentive and other times it is non-existent.
